Ulpan Akiva is a non-profit Educational Center where modern Hebrew is taught against the natural background of the Bible : the Land of Israel. Founded in 1951 by the late Shulamith Katznelson who was the Director for 47 years, Ulpan Akiva is famous worldwide.

You will be introduced to the history, the culture and the heritage of the people who speak the language. Your classroom instruction will be enhanced with a selection of social and cultural activities, lectures on a variety of subjects, field trips, Israeli music and dance.

Our spacious, seaside campus is located at the Green Beach in Netanya, one of Israel's most popular Mediterranean resorts. We are close to Tel-Aviv and Haifa , within an hour of Jerusalem or the Galilee.

The campus facilities include a large swimming pool open the whole year round, modern gym, tennis courts, nicely landscaped grounds, and cable television in the rooms.

During their free time, students often get together over a cup of coffee or a light snack in the "Green Beach Lobby". Netanya has many attractions. Among them are a major shopping malls, traditional open-air markets, dozens of restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisines, a broad selection of cultural activities, multi-screen cinemas and more.
