“MAOF” is for you!
“MAOF” (MOAF means 'Vision' in Hebrew) is a five-month program within the framework of the “MASA” project a joint project of the Government of Israel and the Jewish Agency, offering you a unique experience in Israel. The program gives you “Ivrit” (Hebrew language) studies with experienced teachers, Israeli culture, getting to know the country of Israel, lessons in Israeli - Jewish history, Israel today, leadership training, meeting Israelis and volunteering.
This program will prepare you to be an “ambassador” for Israel, in your country!
The Program:
The “MAOF” program is for Jewish participants between the ages 20-30. We offer the following three programs:
1.“Ivrit Maof”- five months Ulpan – intensive Hebrew studies and Israeli culture, gaining full command of the language.
What is it good for??? You will know an additional language – not any language, but the language of the Jewish Nation;
2. “Scientific Maof”- a special program for graduates with degrees: B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D or MD wishing to combine elements of the “Masa” project with studying one of the basic science fields at the Weizmann Institute of Science. The studies at the Weizmann Institute are in English.
What is so special about it??? You will be trained at the Weizmann Institute of Science – one of the esteemed research institutions in the world. You will receive University credit.
3. “Professional Maof” a special program for graduates who wish to combine elements of the “Masa” project with their professional progress. We offer you 3 months internship at the Municipality of Netanya.
The professions required are:
Engineers – construction and electrical
Education – schoolteachers, kindergarten teachers
Finance – accountants, accounts managers
Social workers
Landscape Architects
Marketing and publicity
Why is it good for you??? you will gain professional experience in your profession, receive a letter of recommendation from the Municipality of Netanya which will enhance your c.v. or resume
